* OUTSTANDING MOTHERS SALUTED: EBONY Magazine and Colgate-Palmolive recently presented "Celebrating Your Beauty From Within" Mothers & Daughters Day, an event conceived by EBONY to foster special bonding between mothers and daughters and sponsored exclusively by Colgate-Palmolive Company, held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

Senior Vice President Jeff Burns, Jr., Colgate-Palmolive Director of African American Marketing Phyllis Woolley and Karyn Greer, news anchor for WXIA-TV 11 in Atlanta, who served as the mistress of ceremony at the luncheon, congratulate EBONY/Colgate-Palmolive Mothers & Daughters Day awards luncheon honorees Juanita Baranco, owner, Baranco Pontiac; Perri Nixon, gospel songstress-founder, Women of God Changing Lives Through Christ; Dianne Whitmore, spokesperson, National Heart Assist & Transplantation Fund; and Patricia Lottier, publisher, The Atlanta Tribune. Xernona Clayton, creator and executive producer of The Trumpet Awards (TBS), also was among those who were honored.
