New Coach At George Washington

NEW COACH AT GEORGE WASHINGTON: Karl Hobbs talks to the media after he was recently named the men's basketball coach at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he signed a multiyear contract with the program. Hobbs, 39, spent the last eight seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, helping post a 216-56 record.

A native of Roxbury, MA, Hobbs was a four-year (1981-84) starting point guard at UConn, and currently ranks fourth in career assists. The energetic Hobbs is married with two daughters.
