DINING WITH OLD FRIENDS: Former Secretary of State Colin Powell (c), and his wife Alma, welcome President Bush (I), and first lady Laura Bush to their home in McLean, VA. Bush dropped by to have dinner with Powell for the evening. Powell, who is also a retired general, served as secretary of state from 2001 to 2005.
Recently, he joined the Washington Baseball Club, one of nine groups bidding to buy the Washington Nationals, in hopes of owning part of a Major League Baseball team (JET, June 13).
