While the nation learned of W. Mark Felt, a former FBI second in command, being the notorious "Deep Throat" information source in a 30-year Watergate mystery, few in the news media mentioned that Black Watergate guard Frank Wills discovered the tape on the building door and summoned police. His action resulted in the eventual impeachment of U.S.

President Richard Nixon. Despised by politicians, especially the Republicans, Wills died in poverty in South Carolina, ironically forgotten and penalized for his brave act.
