Caption: THE HISTORYMAKERS: Legendary performers Dionne Warwick and Diahann Carroll greet Julieanna Richardson, founder of The HistoryMakers, during the organization's recent tribute to Ms. Warwick, in which Ms. Carroll interviewed Ms. Warwick on her history-making career. The historic interview, taped at the Field Museum in Chicago, will air as a PBS-TV special next year. The interview was hosted by singer Jerry Butler and a private VIP dinner reception was held at the home of Chicago business leader, Barbara Bowles. The HistoryMakers is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Black history. Its goal is to archive 5,000 interviews with Black Americans who have made important contributions to our nation's history. The interviews are available online at www.thehistorymakers.com and will be available in museums and libraries.
