Rising R&B stars make music magic at organic soul night in New York City

At the recent Organic Soul Night held at Noche, the popular restaurant and nightclub in New York City's Times Square, EBONY Magazine co-sponsored an evening featuring up and coming R&B artists on the Universal Records label whose albums are slated for release next year.

Headline performer for this night of music magic was Dani Stevenson, whose new album Is There Another? is slated for release in March 2003.

Other featured performers during the event included Famil, four soulful-singing sisters from Newark, NJ, and Columbus, OH, native Rashad whose debut album Elevator Music will drop next year.

Some 600 people attended the festive gathering which is held annually by Universal Records' Organic Soul marketing and promotions division and co-sponsored this year by EBONY Magazine and Coca-Cola.

Among celebrity guests were Missy Elliott, 702, Mr. Cheeks and producer Rockwilder and Clive Davis.
