Caption: SPELMAN COLLEGE PREXY HONORED: Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum (c), president of Spelman College, is congratulated by Joan Shapiro Green (l), Financial Women's Association (FWA) president, Deutsche Bank, and Kristin A. McDonough, FWA annual dinner co-chair, Robert and Joyce Menschel director, the New York Public Library, Science, Industry and Business Library, after McDonough introduced Dr. Tatum and presented her with the FWA 2003 Public Sector Woman of the Year award during the FWA's annual dinner at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York. A fourth-generation college professor, Dr. Tatum is the ninth president of Spelman in Atlanta. The FWA is the leading professional association for women in finance. The organization, for nearly half a century, has been dedicated to shaping leaders in business, with a special emphasis on the role and development of women.
