Summit Delegation Departs To Africa

The Rev. Leon Sullivan and Coretta Scott King address passengers at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York before they board a flight to Accra, Ghana, where they will lead the U.S. delegation to the Fifth African-African American Summit. Sullivan is chairman and convener of the summit.
Called "The Millennium Summit," the gathering is a conference of government and business leaders to improve trade between Africa and other nations and address social, health and educational issues that affect sub-Saharan Africa. At least 8,000 are expected to attend (JET, April 26).
