Black Mayors conference

BLACK MAYORS CONFERENCE: The National Conference of Black Mayors (NCBM) recently held its 30th annual convention in Philadelphia with more than 200 of the nation's 532 Black mayors in attendance. A highlight of the convention was the presentation of the "Tribute To A Black American Award" to Wellington E.

Webb, former Denver mayor and former president of NCBM, and the late Maynard H. Jackson, former mayor of Atlanta. Pictured are Wellington Webb (2nd, l) and his wife, Mrs. Wilma J. The conference was hosted by Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street.
