She is the daughter of noted educator Joe Clark, subject of the movie Lean On Me. The groom, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, is a senior consultant with Chubb & Son.

Love Ordained By God: Adrienne Watson and Stacey Carver wed at the Shiloh Baptist Church of Edgemere in Baltimore, MD. The bride, a graduate of Hampton University and a cheerleader for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, is national director of the NAACP's Back-To-School/Stay-In-School Program. The groom, a graduate of Rutgers University, is a Maryland high school science teacher. Cancun, Mexico, was the honeymoon spot.

When You Believe: Patrick Latrelle Kennedy and Dr. Kabretta Orinoco Wright married at the Quiet Cannon Golf Course in Montebello, CA. She is an elementary school teacher with the Fremont, CA, Unified School District. The groom, a graduate of Mercer University and Vanderbilt University, is a senior marketing and financial analyst with Hewlett-Packard. They honeymooned in Jamaica.

Private Joy: Dr. Ira E. Harrison and Claire Greene Crooks said "I do" during a private ceremony at the Spelman College Prayer Room. The bride, a graduate of Spelman College, is a clinical social worker. The groom, a graduate of Morehouse College, is an associate professor emeritus of anthropology at the University of Tennessee. They Celebrated their union with a party at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Center in Georgia.

Celebrating 60 Years: Dr. and Mrs. Otis M. Williams commemorated 60 years of blessed love during a dinner celebration with family on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Mrs. Etta G. Williams is a retired elementary school teacher. Dr. Williams retired as a counselor and math professor at Long Beach City College. The Williamses have one daughter, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
