Utah Jazz forward Karl Malone scores two points against the Golden State Warriors in the first quarter during a recent game in Salt Lake City. He scored a total of 27 points, passing Michael Jordan for third place on the NBA career scoring list. Said Malone, "When I finish playing, I'll look back on it and I think it will mean a lot to me then.

When it's all over, I'll look back and say I was pretty decent." Malone now has 29,299 points, trailing only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 38,387 and Wilt Chamberlain's 31,419. Jordan finished his NBA career with 29,277 points. Utah beat Golden State 115-99.
