Andrew Young, former UN ambassador and Atlanta mayor, joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra board of directors. Young, a clergyman and leading political activist in the 1960s who also served in the U.S. House of Representatives, brings his vast government, diplomatic and political experience to the Woodruff Arts Center as it moves to build public support for a new symphony hall.
