SWEET HONOR: Louisiana State University's Justin Vincent carries the Sugar Bowl Most Valuable Player trophy after LSU defeated Oklahoma 21-14 in the Sugar' Bowl at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. The freshman running back ran for 117 yards and a touchdown to lead his team to the national championship victory.

"I couldn't have dreamed up this ending for any of us," said Vincent, who as a freshman has been off limits for interviews all season because of head coach Nick Saban's rules. "To do what we did here at home, it's better than a dream." Vincent finished the season with 1,001 yards-the most rushing by an LSU freshman-including three straight 100-yard games and a record 201 yards on 18 carries in the SEC title game.
