Caption: RENEWED VOWS: The Rev. James T. Meeks, pastor of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago, and his wife, Jamell Meeks, slice their cake as they celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in Chicago. The couple renewed their vows during a winter-themed ceremony in front of their family, friends and church members. Below, the happy couple are congratulated by their children (l-r) Jasmine, Janet, Jamie and Trent. Rev. Meeks also serves as an Illinois state senator and is the vice president of Rainbow/PUSH Coalition in Chicago. Mrs. Meeks is the director of Women of Influence, the Women's Ministry at Salem Baptist Church, which has a member congregation of more than 20,000.
