Edward E. Cornwell III, M.D., a Howard University alumnus and professor of surgery and chief of trauma at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, has been appointed surgeon-in-chief of the Howard University Hospital and chair of the department of surgery at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C.
