3-Point Shooter

3-POINT SHOOTER: Taurean Moy, a senior at Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, TN, and a star of its basketball team, shops for sneakers with his little sister Tabria Moy and is on his way to the sports record books by setting two national high school shooting records. In a recent basketball game, scoring a total of 83 points, the 6-foot guard connected 24 of 44 three-point field goals.
Upon official verification, the 24 three-pointers made and 44 three-pointers attempted will be national single-game records. Once it was evident that Moy, 18, had a shot at history, Moy's coach and teammates shred the offense toward Moy so he could shoot the ball. Nicknamed "Trey Head" because he shot and made so many three-pointers growing up, Moy said the accomplishment is a good feeling. "When I woke up (the morning after the game), I couldn't believe that I really did it," Moy said in The Commercial Appeal newspaper.
