When Miami dentist Ted Jones finds out that he's been named in a will, he travels to Alaska to claim his inheritance. Once he gets there, his dreams of wealth turn to mush. Ted discovers he's been left a mischievous team of sled dogs. Making matters even worse, mountain man Thunder Jack, who wants the dogs for himself, can't wait for the city slicker to hotfoot it back to warmer climes.

As Ted's life goes to the dogs, he vows to learn to drive the dog team, no matter what it takes. Starring in this comedy are Cuba Gooding Jr., James Coburn, Sisqo, Nichelle Nichols, Graham Greene, Brian Doyle Murray, Joanna Bacalso and M. Emmet Walsh.
