"Roots' 25th Anniversary Special'
LeVar Burton (1), who portrayed Kunta Kinte (below) in the TV miniseries Roots, hosts this special program in which original cast members, celebrities and ordinary citizens discuss the impact of the groundbreaking miniseries. Among those featured are Ben Vereen, Leslie Uggams, Richard Roundtree, Maya Angelou, Bill Duke and Will Smith on "Roots 25th Anniversary Special," (Friday, January 18 at 8 p.m., ET) on NBC.
