Mandela pleads for AIDS funds in Africa

Caption: MANDELA PLEADS FOR AIDS FUNDS IN AFRICA: Former South African President Nelson Mandela acknowledges the audience while making a speech at the 15th International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Mandela called on governments, businesses and citizens to donate generously to the war on AIDS saying "no amount is too small." The United Nations has said that children born now in seven African countries with high rates of HIV infection can expect to live less than 40 years.
