Correction: In the July 19 issue of JET Magazine, the People page cited that Elizabeth Flanagan, vice-chair of the national Retiree Council of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), is the first Black female Retiree Council officer. Flanagan is the first African-American to be elected vice-chair of the national Retiree Council of AFSCME.
