* RINGMASTER DEBUT: Tyron McFarlan is enjoying his celebrated job as the newest ringmaster for the 135th edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. McFarlan, 34, comes to the "Greatest Show on Earth" with both musical theater and military experience. The producers of the show said they searched for a charismatic performer with a strong singing ability and a dynamic, commanding voice.

In keeping with tradition, the ideal ringmaster candidate must radiate a commanding presence, energy, charm and theatrical style and the judges found this combination in McFarlan, beating out 34 other hopefuls to become only the 34th ringmaster in Ringling Bros. history. A former captain in the Army National Guard and a University of South Carolina grad, McFarlan appeared in productions of Ragtime, Jesus Christ Superstar and Showboat. He looks forward to sharing this exciting new experience with his three-year-old daughter who'll visit him on the road for the 21-city tour.
