Wedding bells to ring

* WEDDING BELLS TO RING: Broadway-TV-film actress Sheryl Lee Ralph will marry state Senator Vincent Hughes of Pennsylvania in an elaborate ceremony July 30th in Philadelphia. Ralph promises, "This will be the grandest and most heartfelt wedding that Philly has seen since Grace Kelly." Among those in Ralph's wedding party are Patti LaBelle, Victoria Rowell, Loretta DeVine and Jenifer Lewis.
The couple announced their engagement nearly two years ago (JET, April 21, 2003). In a romantic moment that seemed straight out of a Hollywood movie, Sen. Hughes proposed to her by getting down on one knee--in the snow--outside the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York as the marquee on the club read: "The Senator Loves Sheryl Lee."
