Honoring Jackie Robinson

Jet,  August 6, 2007

HONORING JACKIE ROBINSON: All wearing "42" the jersey number of Major League Baseball's first Black player Jackie Robinson, Brooklyn's Inner City Little League players sign a team banner next to the statue of Brooklyn Dodgers players Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese, at Brooklyn Cyclones Stadium before heading off to a tee-ball game at the White House.

Tee-ball teams from Brooklyn and Los Angeles, representing the bi-coastal homes of Robinson's Dodgers, recently participated in a game on the South Lawn of the White House in tribute to the sports pioneer's legacy.
