Caption: * KEEPING SAMMY'S LEGACY ALIVE: Altovise Davis (2nd, l), widow of the late, great legendary performer Sammy Davis Jr., is congratulated by Anthony Francis (l), executive director of the Sammy Davis Jr. Foundation, and Barrett LaRoda (r), CEO of the LaRoda Group Inc., after inking, on behalf of the Sammy Davis Jr. Estate, a multiyear, multimillion-dollar, joint-venture deal with the Australian-based gaming conglomerate Gaming & Entertainment Technology, Inc., through its CEO and Founding Partner Tibor Vertes (2nd, r). The ventures will include a "branded" Sammy Davis Jr. online virtual casino game, the first of its kind in Internet history, and the creation of the Sammy Davis Jr. "branded" slot machine for the land-based slot machine and online application. Altovise Davis also tapped long-time entertainment veteran and manager LaRoda, who initiated and negotiated the deal, to manage the day-to-day operations of the Sammy Davis Jr. Estate and the newly created Sammy Davis Jr. Foundation. The events were done in commemoration of the birthday of Sammy Davis Jr., who would have been 76 on December 8, 2001.
