Seventy Years Of Love: Deacon Elias Phoenix and his wife, Deaconess Jannie Phoenix, celebrated 70 years of marriage by renewing their vows at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in Corona, NY. Deaconess Phoenix is a retired licensed practical nurse. Her devoted mate retired as the supervisor of a house keeping department.
They are the parents of five: three are deceased. They have 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
