It is New Year's Eve and only a few lawmen remain on duty in Precinct 13. Sergeant Jake Roenick and staff are celebrating the closing of one of Detroit's oldest precinct houses. The year ended with a lot of action. Crime lord Marion Bishop is cornered by an undercover cop. Their struggle leaves the cop dead-and Bishop captured-by the Organized Crime and Racketeering squad that Marcus Duvall runs. Bishop is handcuffed and taken to a prison bus with several criminals: Beck, a junkie, Smiley, a hustler, and Anna, a gang member. A snowstorm stops the bus short of its high-security destination and strands them at Precinct 13, where the prisoners are temporarily incarcerated. Roenick is peeved that the prisoners are there, but he won't let the increasing workload stop them from celebrating the closing of Precinct 13. When two masked gunmen break in and attack the guards from the bus looking for crime lord Bishop, the cops look to Sergeant Roenick for leadership and the cons look to Bishop for an angle--but both sides must loin forces to live. Starring : Laurence Fishburne, Ethan Hawke, John Leguizamo, Jeffrey "Ja Rule" Atkins, Aisha Hinds, Maria Bello, Brian Dennehy, Gabriel Byrne, Drea de Matteo and Matt Craven.
