Hizzoner's 80th

Former New York City Mayor David Dinkins is feted on his 80th birthday by current Mayor Mike Bloomberg at Gracie Mansion in the Big Apple. Dinkins, the city's 106th chief exec and the first and only Black to hold the post, served from 1990-1993. Among guests celebrating with Dinkins, a tennis enthusiast, were Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe, widow of tennis legend Arthur Ashe, and tennis greats Billy Jean King, Virginia Wade and Monica Seles.

He currently teaches public affairs at Columbia University.
