Marcus Allen, who won a Super Bowl ring with the Los Angeles Raiders in 1984, was among the five latest entries voted into the National Football League Hall of Fame.

Allen, a six-time member of the Pro Bowl team, rushed a total of 12,243 yards with the Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.

James Lofton, whose career also spanned 16 years, was the first player to score touchdowns in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The wide receiver was a Pro Bowler for eight years. In his career with the Packers, Raiders, Buffalo Bills, L.A. Rams and Philadelphia Eagles he caught 764 passes for 14,004 yards and 75 touchdowns.

Other inductees included Elvin Bethea, a 16-year defensive end for the Houston Oilers (now Tennessee Titans).
