* I'M BAAACK: Rickey Henderson, baseball's career leader in runs, stolen bases and walks who played this season with the Newark Bears in Newark, NJ, has finally made his way back to the major leagues. He recently signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers after an outstanding 56-game stint for the independent Atlantic League team. "I always felt this day would come," the 44-year-old outfielder said. "I'm happy that the Dodgers gave me this opportunity to continue playing baseball. I hope I can help them win." Henderson signed with Newark when there were no big league takers during the offseason. "I got the opportunity to play independent ball, stay in shape, keep playing baseball," he said. "I love playing the game. I still can play the game. I was going to play it, no matter what."
