Wilder takes a new position

Former Virginia Gov. L. Wilder, the first elected Black governor in U.S.

history, will have seven months to deliver a report that identifies redundant and ineffective services, streamlines and consolidates agencies and programs and suggests better use of technology to improve services and cut cost. The Richmond native studied law at Howard University and was governor of the state from 1990 to 1994.
