DR. MANDELA: Former South African President Nelson Mandela, 85, recently was presented an honorary doctorate degree at his home in Bishopscourt, Cape Town, by Baroness Betty Boothroyd (r), chancellor of the Open University in Cape Town, South Africa, and former House of Commons speaker. Mandela described the award as a generous offer for "a country boy who is not used to such modern development."
