For the first time, the "Bringing Congress to the people" revue visited Mississippi. The two-day event featuring fifteen members of the Congressional Black Caucus and other dignitaries sparked real interest. Under the direction of CBC Chair Rep. Mel Watt, the town hall meetings held in Jackson, Belzoni and Greenwood drew hearty praise.
