Melody From Heaven: Yakeema C. Elie and Nicole Camille Thomas married at the Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington, MD. Both are graduates of Drexel University. The bride is an account executive with the United Paramount Network (UPN 57 television) in Philadelphia. The groom is a fixed income trader with the Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, PA. Cancun, Mexico, was the honeymoon spot.

The bride, a graduate of Spelman College and Case Western Medical School, is a captain and physician in the U.S. Army Medical Corps at Ft. Campbell's Blanche Field Army Community Hospital. The groom, a graduate of Akron University, is national continuity director at WTVF Channel 5 TV in Nashville. They honeymooned in Hawaii.
Teaching Twosome Weds: Troy B. Sterling and Sirita J. Washington united at the Frenchman's Reef Wedding Gazebo in St. Thomas, the U.S. Virgin Islands. A graduate of Indiana University and Temple University, the bride is an elementary teacher in Philadelphia. A graduate of Central State University and Indiana University, the bridegroom is an elementary teacher in the Mt. Laurel Township school district.
Sixty Blissful Years: Dr. and Mrs. Spencer Durante recently celebrated 60 years of wedded bliss in Charlotte, NC. Mrs Rosalia Durante was a public school teacher for 32 years before she retired. Her dedicated mate for six blessed decades had a 45-year career in public school administration and taught at the college and university levels in the United States and in Nigeria, West Africa, before he retired. They have three sons, rive grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
