Grappling With Grief: Surray Williams. a graduate of Northern Illinois University (NIU), is comforted by Mary Wyzard. a computer lab supervisor on the DeKalb, IL, campus, during a church service in the city dedicated to the victims of a recent campus shooting. Steven Kazmierczak, 27, a former NIU student, entered a campus lecture hall and, armed with a shotgun and handguns, killed five students and wounded 16 others before committing suicide.
