Actor Joe Seneca alive despite rumors of death

Actor Joe Seneca, who is starring opposite Danny Glover in The Saint of Fort Washington, is alive and well despite reports to the contrary in a Warner Brothers press release.

Seneca, who has won raves for his powerful performance in the movie, was referred to as "the late Joe Seneca" in a press release which came from the studio.

Dulcina Eisen, Seneca's agent, began getting calls from people expressing their condolences after several movie reviews carried the error. In fact, when the error was discovered, Seneca was in Canada working on a new TV series titled "Birdland" with Brian Dennehy.

Warner Brothers issued an apology but Eisen is requesting that they take out an ad in trade papers. The mistake could cost her client work because "producers who think he's dead may be too embarrassed to call and check," she said.
