Track & Field Champion Michael Johnson grits his teeth as he crosses the finish line at the World Track and Field Championships in Goteborg, Sweden last August. Johnson, 28, became the first athlete in the history of the Track and Field Championships to win gold medals in the 200- and 400-meter races. Johnson recently was named the U.S. Olympic Committee's Sportsman of 1995.
