Battery charges dismissed against Bulls star Pippen

Scottie Pippen recently had domestic battery charges against him dismissed after his ex-fiancee left town and said through her attorney she refused to testify against the Chicago Bulls star.
Yvette DeLeone, 27, who had accused Pippen of assaulting her (JET June 12), told a Lake County (IL) judge through her attorney that she had left the state and would not pursue charges.
Pippen was arrested in May on a domestic battery charge. DeLeone told suburban Northbrook, IL, police that Pippen had grabbed her by the arm and pushed her. Pippen and DeLeone have a 5-month-old daughter.
The 29-year-old All-Star forward left the courthouse without commenting.
