Imogene McGriggs-Jamison nominated as top military lawyer

Imogene McGriggs-Jamison, a captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, was recently nominated for the American Bar Association's Outstanding Young Military Service Lawyer Award for 1996 in recognition of her outstanding service to the United States Army.
McGriggs-Jamison, with just over three years in the Army, has distinguished herself as a prosecutor at Fort Riley, KS, where she prosecuted 11 major felony courts-martial. Since 1995, she has worked in contract law, fiscal law and ethics, advising the U.S. Army Recruiting Command at Fort Knox, KY, on its multimillion dollar advertising contract.
She grew up in Port Gibson, MS, and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS, in 1986. She earned a master's degree in American literature from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1987 and graduated from the University of Mississippi College of Law in 1991.
