Legendary soul diva Aretha Franklin recently was accepted to the prestigious Juilliard School in New York to study classical piano.

"It's just something she's always wanted to do," Franklin's spokesman told the Chicago Sun Times.

The Queen of Soul is busying herself these days in the studio where she is recording a new version of her hit Respect for the Blues Brothers movie sequel, Blues Brothers 2000, in which she will recreate her memorable role as a restaurant owner.
