Dr. Louis W. Sullivan is returning to be president of Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, the position he held before becoming the nation's top health official.
Sullivan founded the predominantly Black medical school in 1975 as part of Morehouse College. He left the president's post to join the Bush administration in 1988 as secretary of Health and Human Services.
Interim president Dr. Nelson McGhee will remain on the staff.
