Superstar actress Halle Berry candidly talks about the pain of divorce, the lessons she's learned and how she has taken control of her life in EBONY'S Annual Women's Issue in March.

The actress reveals to EBONY that she thought about suicide, but she has now triumphed over the difficult breakup of her marriage to Atlanta Braves baseball star David Justice.

"Somewhere in my heart, I think I knew I didn't want to end my life," she explains. "I just wanted to end the pain."

She reveals that she sought therapy and wants other women who may feel as lost as she did to know there is help. "I know it sounds cliche, but you have to find a way to hold on because time really does heal all wounds," she stresses.

She also reveals that she decided to cover Justice's name tattooed on her rear end with a sunflower. "I know that the sun is always going to come out and when it does, like the sunflower, I'll open again and continue to grow."

EBONY'S Annual Women's Issue also features Camille Cosby, Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou in the story, "Mother Wit: Words of Wisdom From Black Women."

Other highlights featured in EBONY include the feature story, "Sex and 'Sisters': What Turns Women On--And Off." And TV star Malik Yoba and superstar singer Brandy pay tribute to their mothers who helped guide their careers in "Manager Moms."

Senator Carol Moseley Braun and Representative Maxine Waters celebrate women political leaders in "A Woman's Place Is In The House And Senate."

March's EBONY also turns the spotlight on "Blacks And The Inaugural" and features a special bonus section on "The Faces Of Black Women Of Today."
