The King of Pop is a pop!

Megastar Michael Jackson and his wife, Debbie Rowe, recently became the proud parents of a baby boy. The child was born on Feb. 13 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to the entertainer's publicist.

Jackson expressed great joy in the birth of his son. "Words can't describe how I feel," he said. "I have been blessed beyond comprehension, and I will work tirelessly at being the best father that I can possibly be."

Jackson hopes that fans and media understand that this is a private family moment. "I appreciate that my fans are elated, but I hope that everyone respects the privacy that Debbie and I want and need for our son. I grew up in a 'fish bowl,' and I will not allow that to happen to my child. Please respect our wishes and give my son his privacy."

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and is 21 inches long. Reliable sources confirmed that the child will be named either Michael Jackson Jr. or Michael Jackson II. Jackson married Rowe in November of 1996. Jackson and his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley, divorced earlier last year.
