Famed singer-humanitarian Lou Rawls recently returned to his hometown of Chicago for the groundbreaking ceremonies for the new multi-million dollar Lou Rawls Theatre and Cultural Center.

The cultural center will include a 1,500-seat theater, library, roller skating rink, two cinemas and a restaurant. It will be built on 47th and King Drive on the city's Southside, which was the onginal site of the famed Regal Theatre.
