Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin L. Powell is listed in The New York Times as a high-priced speaker commanding more than $50,000 per lecture.
Others listed who command more than $50,000 each lecture are former President George Bush and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Those who receive between $25,000 to $50,000 per lecture are: Tom Peters, a management consultant; William J. Bennett, former secretary of education; Mario M. Cuomo, former governor of New York; John Sculley, former chief executive of Apple Computer; Barbara Bush, former first lady; and former President Gerald Ford.
Speakers commanding between $10,000 to $25,000 are: Lou Holtz, Notre Dame football coach; Candice Bergen, star of the television show "Murphy Brown;" Ivana Trup, former wife of Donald Trump; Dee Dee Myers, former press secretary for President Clinton; Lynn Martin, former secretary of labor; and Jeane J. Kirkpatrick, former ambassador to the United Nations.
