Babyface and wife buy $4.2 million house in L.A

Superstar music producer and singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and his recording executive wife Tracey recently purchased a home in the elegant Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles for a reported $4.2 million, the L.A. Times reported.

Edmonds, who's written more than 100 Top 10 hits, put his Beverly Hills home on the market for just under $3 million, the paper reported.

The couple's new home is a seven-year-old structure with 12,000 square feet that covers an acre. It has seven bedrooms, two family rooms and a library. The entry has a 40-foot ceiling, the Times reported. Additionally, the home has gardens, a pool, pool house, sauna and gym. The home reportedly sold within 10 days of being listed at $4.75 million.

The Edmonds' Beverly Hills home has six bedrooms in roughly 7,000 square feet. That home, built in 1976, is French Regency-style and has a library-projection room., pool and spa. At Jet press time, the couple was expecting their first child.
