Pool reveals Montclair, NJ, ranked best city for interracial families and couples

Montclair, NJ, was voted the No. 1 city for interracial families and couples, says a recent poll conducted by a national magazine that is geared toward interracial couples and families.
Interrace, a magazine which targets interracial couples, conducted a poll, "Best & Worst Cities To Live," with its readers and found that Montclair, NJ, was ranked tops for interracial couples and families. Other places considered race-friendly for interracial couples included: San Jose, CA; Denver, CO; San Diego, CA, and Washington, D.C.
Cities that fared poorly in the poll included Tempe, AZ; Fayetteville, AR; Albany, GA; Detroit, MI; and Sparta, WI.
The results of the survey are featured in the fall special edition "Interracial Living Guide."
Interrace, the first and only national magazine for and about interracial couples, families and multiracial people, was founded in 1989. The magazine asked its readers to rate their city and whether they would recommend it to other interracial couples. Readers in more than 200 cities were surveyed and 543 readers responded -- 177 males and 366 females.

5. Washington, D.C.
6. Seattle, WA
7. Minneapolis, MN
