Joe Simon named evangelist/ambassador of The Mission Baptist Consortium

Former soul singer Joe Simon recently was appointed international evangelist/ambassador of the world for The Mission Baptist Consortium of Churches headquartered in the Bahamas.
The organization has more than 20,000 members from more than 20 affiliated churches in Haiti, United Kingdom, London and the U.S.
Simon won fame as a soul singer with such '70s hits as Chokin Kind and Drowning In the Sea of Love. He left show business and became a minister in 1988. He is currently the associate minister of the Cathedral of Joy Church in Flossmoor, IL.
