Lori Scott promoted to associate merchandise manager at Spiegel

Lori Scott, a buyer for E STYLE, a joint venture catalog from Downers Grove, IL-based Spiegel and Johnson Publishing Company in Chicago, was recently promoted to associate merchandise manager for the catalog.

Ms. Scott is one of the originators of the E STYLE concept. It is the first catalog developed for both the fit and fashion needs o Black women.

In her new role, Ms. Scott will be responsible for growing the E STYLE business, as well as maintaining merchandising responsibilities for the catalog.

Prior to her work on E STYLE, Ms. Scott held the positions of product development manager, managing design and production of private-label women's career apparel for a variety of catalogs and buyer for the Together! catalog at

Before joining Spiegel, Ms. Scott, who holds a bachelor of arts from Lehman College in Bronx, New York, was a merchandiser for Johnson Publishing Company, the publishers of Jet, Ebony and Ebony Man, and also held positions at I.B. Diffusion and Sears Roebuck and Company.
