Y. Marc Belton named president of General Mills, Inc.'s newly-formed Snack Products Division

Y. Marc Belton, a vice president at General Mills, Inc. in Minneapolis, recently was named president of the newly formed Snack Products Division at the firm.
In his new position, Belton will oversee the company's fruit and grain snacks businesses, and beverage business and will assume overall General Mills responsibility for Snack Ventures Europe, a joint venture between General Mills and PepsiCo.
Snack Products Division key brands include Pop*Secret microwavable popcorn, Bugles corn snacks, Nature Valley granola bars, Fruit Roll Ups fruit snacks and Squeezit soft drinks.
Belton joined General Mills in 1983 and was elected a vice president in November 1991.
