Andre Rison signs $17 mil. contract with Browns

All-Pro wide receiver Andre Rison recently signed a $17 million, five-year contract with the Cleveland Browns, making him the highest-paid receiver in NFL history, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.
The newspaper said Rison will receive a signing bonus of $5 million and base salaries of $578,000 in 1995, $2 million in 1996, $2.1 million in 1997, $3.7 million in 1998 and $3.7 million in 1999.
Rison was released earlier this year by the Atlanta Falcons, where he reportedly had disciplinary problems.
